Tackle it Tuesday -Painting Project

I have overcome a fear.. The fear of painting. I have always let my husband do these sorts of projects unsure of my capabilities. This fall I couldn't wait for him we had a deadline with new carpet coming and so I painted the whole downstairs! Now it isn't perfect by any means and there still are a few spots that need touch ups or spots I missed. But I no longer am afraid and am moving on to other projects. Our cousin gave us her old dresser for our youngest. So this weekend I took advantage of the nice weather we had and painted this. I put the handles on and put it up today.

Before: It was quite sunny on our back porch, kind of hard to see.

Here is the after: She already put her things on it

Good for you! You did a beautiful job!

I have a dresser that need to be tackled, too. After seeing this, I just might try it.

Have a wonderful 2009!

It looks perfect..
the girls are wanting to paint there dressers white, but I said no. not for fear of paiting though I am not very good at it, but because there two big hutch dresses are a match to the boys bunk bed, and the other dresser in the room is a set with the one dresser in the boys room and with the twin bed headboard and footbord I have stored in the garage and I just can't help but think that one day I might want to put all the sets together so painting them white just won't do.
~sigh~ the white looks so pretty though almost makes me want to let them do it.
