thursday Thirteen

Two weeks ago or so I did the Blockbuster Online thing. There were so many movies out that I wanted to see and I kept walking into Blockbuster so I decided to just do the online. Much better deal when you can rent unlimited for one price. So over the last two weeks we have been watching way to many movies waiting for this Ohio weather to warm up already!

Last year at this time the kids were wearing shorts to school. This year we are still wearing socks and shoes and jackets. I'm ready for some warmth!!

So I watched some really good movies and some that were just okay. Here is a list of 13 of them. A few of them I am reliving through my kids which is so much fun.
  1. Juno - This was a surprisingly good movie.

  2. The Water Horse - The kids liked it, but not enough to watch more than once

  3. The Namesake - Real Good Movie

  4. Hairspray - Gonna have to buy this one the girls have watched it over and over. Even my 3 yr old walks around singing "Good Morning Baltimore!"

  5. 27 Dresses - Okay

  6. Jane Austen Book Club - I love Jane Austen movies, but this was just okay

  7. Charlie Wilson's War - my dh liked it

  8. P.S. I love You - I haven't cried so much in a movie in I don't remember when

  9. Dan in Real Life- This was a cute movie. I liked it

  10. Monster House- I have actually seen this a million times, but we still don't own it and it actually is a good kids movie that I am surprised my kids don't get scared by.

  11. ET - I can remember seeing this at the movies when I was a kid

  12. Indian Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark

  13. Indiana Jones - Temple of Doom - I have always liked the Indiana Jones movies, am curious to see how a 65 yr old Indiana does. We are gearing up for when it comes out this weekend. YAY! Just need to watch # 3 sometime this week.

So that is my list, I think I am movied out. Come on nice weather, I need some fresh air!!

A lot of these are on my "to see" list, too! I've heard Juno was spectacular, that will be first, followed by Charlie Wilson's War. I love Tom Hanks!!

And...even after all these years, if I had to pick a favorite movie, it would be ET. I adored every minute of it!

Happy TT

I can't wait to see Juno and 27 Dresses. I have friends who went last night at midnight to see the new Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. Haven't heard from them yet so I'm wondering how it was.

Hope you don't mind but I tagged you. I'm starting to get the hang of this tagging game... haha Please stop by when you can.

OH it is sooooooooooooooo cold...
Ryan had his 1st baseball game on Tuesday and he has another tonight and it is ONLY 47 outside now in the afternoon How cold is it going to be come game time.. brrrrrrrrr..
I think the only thing keeping me from yelling at DH for all these trips south on the weekends for Aubrie's ball games(with gas prices I'm ready for her to quit) is the fact that it has been in the mid 70's where we have been and from sitting out all day watching ball games I have a nice sun tan going on LOL.. but it is so awful here.. I LOVE watching movies but I'm not a fan of watching them when the kids are awake.. UNLESS they are totally into the movie also and not talking, running around and playing.. I guess I just like watching them without being intrupted with "mom can you do this, mom can you get me that, mom he is looking at me" or without Rhett running though the room with his trucks and cars.. I like it dark and quite to watch any sort of TV or movie.. That is why I tape everything I want to watch and watch it when they go to bed.
That being said.. I normally don't get to see very many movies anymore. Though I am looking forward to summer and taking the kids to the drive-in.. I'm also looking forward to the new Indiana Jones movie.. I loved those shows.

I'm very curious about "Namesake". Never heard of it. Still want to see "Juno" and "The Water Horse". Always loved watching Indiana Jones, can't get enough of it. The boys like watching them too.

You're right, Monster House is really good and my kids weren't scared either.

Great list, Heather. Wasn't today just beautiful?!?
