Tackle It Tuesday

With St Patty's day done and over we are on to the next celebration. Crazy that they are so close this year. We did have a fun St. Patty's. We had our family party Sunday so really we just did silly things with food. My dh made the kids shamrock shaped pancakes for breakfast and for dinner we had green eggs and green milkshakes. It's always fun to do things different though.

For my tackle today I am working on a wreath. I usually pick pastel colors when I decorate for Easter and Spring, I love the soft purples, pinks, yellows and greens but this year with getting so much snow so late in the season and Easter being earlier, I am all for the bright colors. ( I am ready for spring) Since my wreath from last year was pastel I thought I would make a bright colorful one to cheer up my entry way. Here is what I am starting with...And after just a bit of time and my handy dandy hot glue gun this is the result. That is my tackle for the day, well not my only tackle I have NOTHING to wear for Sunday and nothing to fill Easter Baskets. So a shopping I will go. Wish me LUCK!

You are inspirational! How simple is that! Now if I could just get the paper snowflakes from Christmas off all the windows first... I'll be good!

That is so pretty.. I never think of such things.. I guess I'm just not crafty at all. My girls are and my mom is and so is my sister but some how that gene just skipped me.
Good luck shopping.. I got the kids Easter cloths and I got them packed ready to leave Thursday night. I'm just wearing one of my every day sort of sunday skirts and top.. Just no time to head out to find something new. But tomorrow I am heading out to get the kids those $1 baskets from Walmart and some stuff to go in them.. I got them Malley bunnies to go in the basket and my sister is picking up jellybeans and Peeps(since we will be at my sisters we are trying to keep the baskets the same so as not to have them question why this one got this and this one didn't) But she got her DD a book for her basket.. So I think I'm getting Princess a Sherry's GC. and Sweet Pea I think I'll pick up the Enchanted DVD. but I need to glance around the store for some gift for the boys in there basket.. I think I'll get Little Man another Thomas Train.. but I don't know what to get Mr Man. I would love to get him the Alive and The chipmunk DVD but I don't think it is out yet. Then since my sister doesn't normally get much candy for the baskets I thought I would pick up some stuff that would travel well in a van for 22 hours(in other words won't melt) to put into the 6 of there baskets.

Aren't you crafty! LOL
I am so not a crafty person, but I'm going to have to start changing that as my girls get older.
